Our approach is rooted in the classical and jazz traditions, emphasizing strong technique, expressive playing, and an understanding of music theory and notation. But make no mistake — this isn’t a stuffy or rigid experience. Our teachers know how to make lessons fun, encouraging, and age-appropriate, while still upholding the standards that help students truly excel.

From their very first lesson, students begin learning:

🎶 Perform, Grow, Belong

Music comes alive when it’s shared. That’s why every student at Rhapsody gets the opportunity to perform in informal performance classes throughout the year. These are friendly, low-pressure events where students play for their peers, receive encouragement, and get inspired by one another’s progress.

Twice a year, we host formal recitals at Dover Congregational Church, a beautiful performance venue just minutes from our studio. These concerts give students a chance to showcase their growth in front of friends and family — a meaningful milestone in their musical journey.
